In honor of Record Store Day this coming Saturday April 16, 2011 - and in celebration of Omnivore Recordings' upcoming limited edition vinyl release of Big Star's Third LP (which we're all VERY excited about), here's our humble version of the Big Star classic "THANK YOU FRIENDS".
Featuring Steven Wilson (of Plasticsoul) on lead vocals and acoustic guitar w/ Brandon Schott on background vocals, ukulele and toy piano. Recorded completely live to 4-track cassette in the living room of Brandon's then empty new house on May 10, 2010. Recorded & Mixed by Jake Gideon.
